(NASDAQ: AMTX), a renewable naturalgas (RNG) and renewable fuels company focused on negative carbon intensity products, completedthe installation and commissioning at the Keyes ethanol plant in California of the firstMitsubishi ZEBREX™ system in North America, reducing overall energy use and lowering the carbon intensityof ethanol. The system is now fully operational, reducing energy costs and increasing biofuel value by more than $5 million per year.

The cost of equipment, engineering and installation of the Mitsubishi ZEBREX™ systemwas approximately $10 million. Aemetis expects to receive more than $1 million of grant funding fromthe PG&E and CPUC Energy Efficiency Program in support of theproject.

The Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation ZEBREX™ ethanol dehydration system was commissionedafter several years of engineering design, fabrication, installation and testing at the Aemetis 65 milliongallon per year, low carbon ethanol plant. The patented ZEBREX™ technology replaces theenergy-intensive molecular sieve ethanol dehydration process used by most fuel ethanol plants in the world. TheAemetis plant upgrade is the largest implementation of the ZEBREX™ systemworldwide.

The upgrade from the traditional Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) ethanol dehydration process tothe ZEBREX™ system has reduced petroleum natural gas consumption at the Keyes facility by morethan 20%, which is estimated to provide energy savings of approximately $3.4 million peryear.

Additionally, by reducing the amount of fossil fuel energy used in the production process,Aemetis expects to receive a lower carbon intensity (CI) score for the fuel ethanol produced at the Keyesplant, which will increase revenue for each gallon of fuel ethanolsold.

The Aemetis carbon intensity reduction projects at the Keyes ethanol plant include a 1.9-megawattsolar microgrid with battery backup that will produce zero carbon electricity to reduce natural gas usage, anda Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) system using electric motors furthers the transitiontorenewableelectricity.

Aemetis is focused on producing below zero carbon intensity renewable fuels, including negativecarbon intensity renewable natural gas (RNG), sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), renewable diesel (RD),and bioethanol. Aemetis projects maximize the use of agricultural waste or by-products as lowcarbon feedstocks to produce renewable fuels, while leveraging the value of federal and state carbonreduction programs. Aemetis is developing two carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) wells near itsbiofuel facilities in Central California that are expected to store about 2 million metric tonnes per year ofCO2.

(3)可降解塑料行业:PBAT副产四氢呋喃分离;

(4)BDO行业:醛炔法副产丁醇水溶液的脱水,顺酐法甲醇塔外采丁醇有机废液的回收;

(5)异丙醇/水分离:丙酮加氢制异丙醇、精细化工和医药化工用异丙醇/水分离;

(6)食用酒行业:低温分离,以保持酒中氨基酸成分;

(7)废溶剂处理:以回收溶剂并减少排放。

2、技术发展历程

1997年:三井造船株式会社(现三井造船控股株式会社)开发出沸石膜脱水系统;

2015年:三菱化学株式会社实现CHA沸石膜商业化(ZEBREX™ZX1);

2016年:三井造船&机械服务株式会社(现三井E&S能源系统株式会社)与三菱化学株式会社达成商业联盟,共同推进沸石膜,统一品牌名称为ZEBREX™(工业级)和KonKer™(食品级);

2017年:三菱化学株式会社开发出用于生物乙醇的耐酸性沸石膜(ZEBREX™ZX2);
